in Des Moines USA Sadly, Marla became a pathfinder on 2nd September, 2001. Remembered fondly by her sister Pam "Marla's fight reminded me so much of the way the Apostle Paul described his life as his time on this earth was coming to an end. As he said in II Timothy, "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race and I have remained faithful." . . .I remember Marla in a similar way: she fought the good fight and she remained faithful. Let us pray that memories of Marla bring comfort to those who feel her loss. |

Houston, TX We pray that Denise's latest chemotherapy has stopped the spreads. "I would ask the Lord to lift
my Mother up and heal her. from daughter Kathy. Sadly, Denise went to her heavenly rest on 24 May, 2002, leaving behind her loving family and is very sadly missed. The following prayer is from St. Francis of Assisi and is what my father chose to put on her memorial cards: Lord, make me an instrument of your peace Where there is hatred let me sow love Where there is injury, pardon Where there is discord, union Where there is doubt, faith Where there is despair, hope Where there is darkness, light Where there is sadness, joy. O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console, to be understood, as to understand to be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. |

Wife of Mike Patty and Mike have two children - a two and a half year old son and a one and a half year old daughter. Patty was diagnosed last May, just after the birth of their daughter. Patty is now very seriously ill and would appreciate all our sincerest prayers. Bless you Patty in your suffering. Patty became a pathfinder on December 10th, 2001 after a brave and committed battle. She has inspired and helped many of us with her caring and loving attitude even through adversity. May the Lord accept our prayers to our sister who is at peace now, looking down on her family, friends and IBC sisters, and is there for us to hear our prayers. Bless her husband Mike, and their children in their sad loss. Let's think of Patty's passing NOT as a light going out.. rather as a lamp being extinguished because the dawn has come....

Jackie McLeod-Roberts Northampton, England, UK |
|
| Jackie battled bravely with her disease, which spread all too rapidly. She was overjoyed to meet her new grandson, Blue, over Christmas 2001. Sadly she became a pathfinder on Friday 1st February 2002 peacefully surrounded by her family whispering words of love. Jackie will be sorely missed by her family, friends and colleagues from her work in podiatry with diabetic patients. A wonderful, brave lady whose life was sadly cut short. It is with much sadness that I write this as Jackie had been my email buddy for the last few months of her life - I will miss her. May our prayers comfort those who mourn her passing and may they find peace and comfort in the knowledge that they were privileged to know such a wonderful woman. | |

Nicola - a beautiful young lady in her 30s, has a big family that love her very very much. She also has a lot of friends and has always been very popular. She has researched cancer inside out... reading numerous books and trying different things to help cure herself. She has done "Journey" work as described in the book by Brandon Bays, she went to Bristol Cancer Care Hospital for a week to get some tips. Although not religious at all, she went for spiritual healing once a week during her chemo treatments, and has followed a homeopathic regime to work with her chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She has done everything she can to fight this beast off. That's why it feels like such a kick in the teeth. (From her twin sister Jo) May we all pray for Nicola to continue her brave fight, and her family and friends as they come to terms with this latest recurrence. It is with such a heavy heart that I write this... Sadly Nicola's loving twin sister Jo informed me that Nicola became a pathfinder on Wednesday, 15th May ay 11.05 am. She was surrounded by her loved ones when she left this life, peacefully and pain free. Nicola was only 31 years old, and survived just over a year from diagnosis. As her sister said, "When God took her from us, He must have had a better job for her to do in heaven." I pray, along with anyone reading this, that she is now at rest and that her loved ones can come to terms with her loss. My heart goes out to you all, especially Jo, Nicola's twin sister. |

Anne and her family need our prayers. She has been asking God not to punish her, and didn't want her children to see her like this. So please pray for her comfort and her sanity. She is a beautiful woman and has been loved by all who have met her all through her life. I feel so robbed. At 64 she is too young to die. Thanks, from Jenn, daughter to the beautiful Anne. Anne died 14 April 2002. Her lungs gave up and she died a peaceful death in her sleep. We didn't get there in time, but we're all ok with that as we have had wonderful times with her and said everything that each of us needed to say. We are so very sad that she has gone, but we are happy that she is no longer living her hell. I thank you all for you kind support. Please keep fighting this awful disease. Jenn, daughter to Anne. |

Please pray for
my dear sister-in-law, Betty. She was diagnosed with ibc in October 2000.
Throughout her chemo, surgery, more chemo and then radiation, she has
remained cheerful and positive. She was doing well after her treatments
were completed but at her September doctor visit, she was told the cancer
was back. (after a biopsy) The CT scan was thankfully negative, but the
Dr. ordered a bone scan because of the possibility it has spread there. We
won't know the results until next week. Her faith is very strong and she
tells me she is "not going through this alone. The Lord is with me
every step of the way." Her strength and courage are so admirable.
We, her family and many friends, pray she will win this battle she so
courageously fights. May God bless her and everyone who has this terrible
disease. |

On April 20, 2003 this dear lady lost her battle with IBC. She was at home, surrounded by her family. This dedication comes from her wonderful daughter Joane.
My precious Mam, I'll never forget you - I love and miss you every day. There is a gift in this world, that is so precious and rare, It's the love that a mother and daughter share. We shared that love you and I, From the day I was born until the day that you died. I loved you then, and I love you yet, Mine to remember when others forget. Good night and God bless Mam.
